This link describes the released data products that comprise the eROSITA-DE Data Release 1 (DR1) and how they are organised. The table below shows the file naming scheme that the eSASS team follows when producing such data products. The data file names give an idea of the type of products they are. The file names are of the form:
PQii_jjjjjj_klm_nnnnnn_Rooo.fits
Meaning | Options | Explanation | Task | |

jjjjjj | Sky tile number | [0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9] | For survey: three digits for R.A. and three digits for DEC in decimal degrees (DEC counted from equatorial North Pole).
This position correspond to the tile center (for a description of the sky tiles see here). |

[1] In the source products, the ‘n’ character is used to denominate source files whose ownership is MPE, but whose source position lie in the shared zone of MPE+IKI.
[2] [1,3]B refers to the one-band (1B, 0.2—2.3 keV) or three-band (3B; 0.2—0.6 keV, 0.6—2.3 keV, and 2.3—5.0 keV) catalogue.
[3] This is a *.tar.xz file, which contains all source products.
[4] The [0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9] number corresponds to the source ID (ID_SRC) in the source catalogue (filled with leading zeros if necessary).
Example: em01_002090_020_EventList_c010.fits
is an event list file from a single eRASS, in this case eRASS1. It belongs to MPE. The event list results from combining all cameras with the filter wheel in Filter position. The file has been produced by the processing pipeline 010.
The file naming scheme of the data products released during the eROSITA-DE Early Data Release (EDR) can be found here.
