Event files' naming convention

The eROSITA Early Data Release (EDR) consists mainly of calibrated event files for each camera and CAl-PV observation. The event file names give an idea of the content of the files. The names are of the form:

[1] eSASS task srctool will automatically produce additional products for the different source data with the following names (a detailed description of srctool can be found here):


Example: fm00_500171_020_EventList_c001.fits, which is an event list file from an observation performed in scan mode. The event list is the result of combining all cameras with filter in the whole energy band.
