2025-05-15: As of May 2025, the eSASS4DR1 release includes a patch (no. 1) updating the erolib library from version 2.70.3 to 2.70.4. The previous version, erolib v2.70.3, caused a memory leak that prevented users from performing certain tasks - such as using evtool to create images using certain task's options. Additionally, the distribution of eSASS4DR1 as a Docker container has been discontinued. For further information check the the eSASS4DR1 installation webpage.

2024-11-25:A new section, called Lost photon counts in DR1 data has been added to the eROSITA known issues during eRASS1 webpage. In the 010 data processing (Data Release 1, DR1), the energy threshold maps were updated from the 001 processing (Early Data Release, EDR) to achieve a more uniform response across the eROSITA CCDs. However, these changes led to reduced sensitivity and increased inhomogeneities, especially in noisier CCD columns.

2024-10-30:An update on the documentation of the expmap task is made available only through this website. This update is not included in the eSASS4DR1 package.

2024-10-29:A new Diffuse Background webpage is made available in this eROSITA DR1 site. This page provides the fit parameters of the diffuse soft X-ray background observed in eRASS1 and additional information about the Local Hot Bubble.

2024-04-29: Around 17k source products (out of ~200k from the Main catalogue) were added to the archive, which were excluded by accident. If you previously mirrored the source products using the mirroring script before 2024-04-29, please rerun it again to get the new products.

2024-04-24: The Galactic coordinates (LII and BII) in the DR1 Main, Hard, and Supplementary catalogs are based on the raw right ascension and declination coordinates (RA_RAW and DEC_RAW). The routine used for such conversion has been found to be faulty, and therefore, the Galactic coordinates displayed in the catalogs need to be corrected by a few arcseconds. Users are encouraged to use their own coordinate conversion tools to extract corrected Galactic coordinates based on the right ascension and declination coordinates (RA and DEC), which are correct.

2024-02-23: Spectra in source products were modified to fix RESPFILE, ANCRFILE and BACKFILE keywords, as they previously they pointed to files which did not exist. Source products were also added for the 106150 and 017150 skytiles, which were excluded by accident. If you previously mirrored the source products using the mirroring script before 2024-02-23, please rerun it again to get the new product versions (dated 2024-02-22 and 2024-02-23).
