Welcome to the eROSITA-DE Data Release 2 (DR2) site!

The German eROSITA Consortium (eROSITA-DE) is pleased to announce the public release of eROSITA-DE Data Release 2 (DR2).

DR2 provides X-ray source catalogues derived from the first three complete scans of the sky performed by eROSITA aboard the SRG mission (eRASS:3) in the sky regions for which scientific exploitation rights belong to eROSITA-DE. Compared to DR1, the increased survey depth enables the detection and characterization of substantially more X-ray sources, offering a significantly deeper view of the high-energy Universe.

The catalogues are based on observations collected between 12 December 2019 and 16 June 2021, encompassing the first three eROSITA all-sky surveys (eRASS1-3) and a total of 556 days of survey operations.

In contrast to DR1, which included calibrated event data and higher-level data products, DR2 is a catalogue-only release. The catalogues contain the properties of X-ray sources detected in the cumulative eRASS:3 observations and provide a powerful resource for studies of stars, compact objects, active galactic nuclei, galaxy clusters, and large-scale structure.

DR2 includes sources detected in the Western Galactic hemisphere, corresponding to the sky region assigned to eROSITA-DE under the eROSITA All-Sky Survey data-rights agreement.

We invite the community to explore the catalogues and exploit the unprecedented discovery space opened by eROSITA's all-sky survey.
